Hello Everyone
If you happened to visit my previous post then you will recognise the two “cheerful” little faces that adorn the tags I am sharing today.
Once again this is an Oxford Impressions’ DT post where I have used the Season of Giving plate but also used stamps from other Christmas plates.
Oxford Impression Stamp Plates:-
Season of Giving
Sleigh Bells
Winter Snow
On both tags I applied Gesso to paper that I didn’t particularly like but with the aid of Gesso and stamping I was happier with the appearance of the paper to start layering up the tags. I used a Crafty Individuals Shabby Tag as a template as it is a lovely size of tag and I wanted larger sized tags as those tags I am sending as an alternative to a Christmas card to friends.
Tag No. 1:- Season of Giving - holly stamp (stamped onto background paper), little boy and girl, label and Epp’s Cocoa advert.
Sleigh Bells – star and December 25th.
Tag no. 2:- Season of Giving – little boy and girl and Noel.
Sleigh Bells – star and postal mark
Winter Snow – snow! sleigh! advert (on tag base and as a stamped element)
The seam binding, lace and gauze I had stained some time ago with fruity teabags, it was useful that the colour matched with the tag base.
If I have not caught up with your artful creations it is because I have not managed to spend as much time as I would like, these past few days, on-line but I do hope to catch-up with you soon.
Have a lovely Friday
Wishes
Lynne
P.S. All those stamp plates are available from Oxford Impressions’ on-line store or you should find some of the plates available from That’s Crafty and The Craft Barn in the U.K. and on-line at Art Journey if based within Continental Europe.

Gorgeous tag, with great work on the altered paper – makes a lovely background. Love the delicate pink colours, though even that can’t cheer up those two!!

Gorgeous pink in the back and lovely lace Lynne, the stamp is so real vintage.
I always wonder where your creations end…or does all the lace belong to the creation? Anyway…the tag looks great in total!
Have a nice weekend, Alie

Thank You Alie.
I can see why it is difficult to know when the lace is part of the tag or the background. On both tags I added lace to trim the tops and bottoms.

Beautiful tags, Lynne. I love how gesso can transform the unloved into lovely. And thanks for the tip on using the fruity tea bags and not just the plain ones… you’ve given me a great idea with that!

I think Queen of Vintage suits you perfectly and that it might just stick! Your tags are gorgeous, I do love your use of gauze and the way you die with those tea bags, really must have a go one day soon. The pinks are stunning and I agree with Marjie that unloved papers can look so lovely with gesso. Hugs, Anne x

Hi Lynne,
Both tags are just beautiful – confectionery like. The pink so softens the image and love the shade of the velvet ribbon in the top tag in particular. Yes – Queen of Vintage you are! Hope your cold improves soon. Have a lovely weekend. Nicola x

Beautiful with a stunningly gorgeous muted colour palette – like a wonderful soft, fluffy meringue! If you know what I mean. I totally adore the stamps.
I think it would be devine to receive such a tag at Christmas.

These beautiful tags makes me think of a wintery evening when sun gets down, and the afternoon starts to get a little dark, -such dayes the snow can look alittle pink ,just like your amazing lovely tags, my dear Lynne. I love the text added to the side of the stamped images- looks great !!—Beauty to enjoy, after a long day trying to set up my place.
I wish you a good weekend,dear friend.
