Dreamy Days At Wildflower Cottage

Hello Everyone
I could not believe it, when I looked through draft posts, I came across this particular one where I had written that this was one of Crafty Individuals new releases…. except they have since released a whole new crop of stamps, tell me, where do the weeks go that this is no longer one of the new stamps!!
This stamp,  CI-411 brought to mind country cottage gardens,CI411lynneaiming for a shabby feel with a mix of natural textural elements.
It was by pure chance I happened upon the stamping surface I used as it wasn’t what I initially hand in mind. This was a panel of found paper which I had prepared for another project (but never actually used).  I liked the effect of the brush strokes, giving a distressed appearance to the stamped image. focalstampOn receiving the new stamps CI-410 jumped out at me especially for the lovely sentiments so I had to use one immediately which I stamped onto a wood panel I roughly painted. sentimentSome of the natural elements:- jute, burlap, balsa and driftwood19 May 013I dipped into the same stamp which the sentiment came from to stamp the lovely butterfly, I know, I should have stamped a dragonfly to match the sentiment. butterflyThank You for your visit to my Blog today.

A wonderful hanging , in soft pieceful colours, dear Lynne.
The stamps are beautiful, and I so love the panel you used, for the flowers, on top of jute and the corrugated cardboard . You may be right about the dragonfly, 🙂 but I love your butterfly in the corner soon fluttering off to the great driftwood .Your fine white strings are so beautiful as hanger!!
    Hug and smiles,
