Happy Hollydays!!

Leading up to Christmas I will, now and again make some Christmas projects. Today I used The Stampsmith’s “Holly“. This is a really beautiful festive image, whether you decide to tint the image or leave plain and it is beautiful stamped in different colours, Black, Sepia, Crimson, Green, very versatile.
This card is approx 8″x6″. After edging the image with Lime Green Deko Ice I layered her onto holly vellum, stamped green cardstock  with a holly stamp (highlighting the berries with Red Deko Ice), then layered onto red/pink Basic Grey cardstock. Stamped cancellation mark and added a piece of  decorative gold leaf (torn from a Poundland decoration!) finally adding a large bow.

The Stamper’s Sampler set a challenge, “Holiday Happenings”. At the time of the challenge I had recently received “Holly”, this was at the start of my first term with The Stampsmith and knew I had to make a card with her. Over the moon to see this is one of two cards in the recent The Stampers’ Sampler.

I am thrilled to be staying on The Stampsmith DT for another term, continuing to work alongside Carol Q and with the addition of 2 new DT members, Karen and Julie

Both of these pieces are stunning, Lynne.
I love the soft colours of the second one as greens and pinks together are one of my favourite colour combinations.
The first one is a truly beautiful and unusual Christmas card.
