then I’ll begin to tell you about this little pillow. Probably as Mother’s Day is in my mind, when I was trying to come up with a title for this post, looking at the child, she reminds me of a child settled down listening to a story, possibly a bedtime story read to her by her Mother.
This little sweetie is from Divas D’Este’s Pretty Bonnet Girls collage sheet, the same CS I used an image for “Aren’t You Adorable“. This CS is so adorable that you will see more projects very soon.
Such a pillow would make a sweet gift to give whether on Mother’s Day or a birthday. Although we speak of mothers, Mothering Sunday is a day to honour any mother figure whether a mother-in-law, Aunt or sister.
Before I finish this post I want to say thank you for the wonderful comments for the glass hanging ornaments, I was delighted that you liked them so much. Lynne x

Mothering Sunday is celebrated at different times of the year, depending on which part of the world you live in. Although it is not celebrated until May in the U.S.A., as this coming Sunday is Mother’s Day in the U.K. I am showing artwork for this particular celebration.
In honour of this day, there will be many projects this week with images of mothers and children. You may remember that I created similar glass ornaments for Christmas. It is such a versatile idea as any image can be used. Here I used images from Divas D’Este’s To Mom With Love collage sheet.
Both glass ornaments are edged with coarse vintage glass glitter, which is perfect for edging as a substitute to soldering.
Generous lengths of satin ribbon for hanging or they can be propped on a home decor item.
The glass ornament above would make a special gift for a new mother.
If you visit Divas D’Este’s site you will notice that they have a new collage sheet available called “Happy Mother’s Day”.
I hope you will visit again this week to see other Mothering Sunday artwork. Lynne x

Divas D’Este have asked that I mention they have some new items over at their Etsy store, Urban Renewal Designs. Always worth keeping a check on this store as they are up-dating stock often. Lynne x

You realise that Spring is in the air when you hear the birds cheeping away, twittering to each other, I can hear them as I type this post.
A few weeks ago Trishia at French Kissed Postcards shared a free image of two birds.
This is the card I made for a friend, using a combination of pattern paper, some stamping (all stamped images are from Oxford Impressions), stamping onto ribbon and the tiniest scrap of tissue tape.

As we move away from Winter we are turning towards pastel hues and images with an air of Springtime. With this in mind Divas D’Este have been incredibly busy producing several new collage sheets for Spring and Easter.

The image here is from Pretty Bonnet Girls. A wonderful collage sheet with pretty girls wearing their best bonnets, some definitely Easter bonnets or as in the image I selected, I would say she is dressed for when there is a nip in the air. The Divas have outdone themselves with the cute factor on this collage sheet.
I transferred my selected image onto fabric then built up a collage. Two coasters are the base for this collage, a crochet coaster which is adhered onto a chipboard coaster for stability.
A pretty, floral applique added.
A decorative pin threaded through pink organza ribbon tied into a bow.
If you haven’t done so already, there are two free images on Divas D’Este’s Homepage for you to use in your artwork. Lynne x

Typewriters is one of the challenges underway at Gingersnap Creations. I couldn’t let this challenge pass as I own a cute stamp from The Stampsmith which was so perfect for this theme.
The notebook is made from old cardboard packaging, from a box which I covered with text paper and added my initials with letters cut from scrapbook paper and antique dimensional accent added.
The black ribbon represents the ribbon in a typewriter and of course it had to be stapled to the book.
Ideally this notebook would be propped against a vintage typewriter. Yes, I continue to daydream about the typewriter I didn’t bring home from the charity shop. Lynne x

That got your attention!
Dawn and De, who are Divas D’Este have set up a new Etsy store called Urban Renewal. In their own words, they are stocking vintage oddities. You will also notice they are selling digital collage sheets and individual digital images. Wait ’til you see the jewellery. Why not pop on over and have a browse. All prices are in both USD and GBP.
I will be back with more artwork to share soon. Lynne x

Time for a new challenge at TSSC. Karen is the host and she has picked a colour challenge which is Dark Brown and Medium Blue. As it is the 15th of the month you must use at least one stamp from The Stampsmith in your artwork to be eligible for the prize draw. It is worth joining in the fun as you have the chance of winning a voucher to spend at The Stampsmith store.
This card is my DT sample for the colour challenge. Ella Blue papers had to be my choice as the colours were so perfect which I teamed up with paper blooms and lace. The stamps used are an image from Flapper sheet. All the Flapper images are such a favourite (alongside the Paris plate). The word “Beauty” is from the wonderfully useful Say It with Flair.
Hope to see your artwork at TSSC. Lynne x
