Mother of Mine

Mothering Sunday is celebrated at different times of the year, depending on which part of the world you live in. Although it is not celebrated until May in the U.S.A., as this coming Sunday is Mother’s Day in the U.K. I am showing artwork for this particular celebration.
In honour of this day, there will be many projects this week with images of mothers and children. You may remember that  I created similar glass ornaments for Christmas. It is such a versatile idea as any image can be used. Here I used images from Divas D’Este’s To Mom With Love collage sheet.
Both glass ornaments are edged with coarse vintage glass glitter, which is perfect for edging as a substitute to soldering.
Generous lengths of satin ribbon for hanging or they can be propped on a home decor item.
The glass ornament above would make a special gift for a new mother.

If you visit Divas D’Este’s site you will notice that they have a new collage sheet available called “Happy Mother’s Day”.
I hope you will visit again this week to see other Mothering Sunday artwork. Lynne x

These are gorgeous, Lynne! I love the idea of using glitter around the edges, since I don’t have any soldering equipment. The effect is wonderful.
