Easter Chicks

When I was sitting making these cards, the snow was falling heavily and a blanket of white covered the landscape, a rather strange setting when working with Easter images and pastel hues!
The images on the cards are from Divas D’Este’s Easter Greeting Cards CS, a CS full of Art Nouveau style images and also  greetings.
I printed onto transparencies as I wanted to apply paint to the rear of the images. On the first card you will see that I painted the back of the image with gold acrylic paint. When the card catches sunlight it creates a beautiful golden glow.

Again, the beauty of transparencies is layering. On the first card I layered the greeting inside the frame on the image. You still have that hint of gold shining through and a peek at the Anna Griffin paper.
I like the quirkiness of this image, it really is unusual. Acrylic paint in blue and pink were used instead of gold and a little dab smeared onto the edge of the greeting.
Just a little reminder that there are free images available at Divas D’Este for you to use in your own artwork. I have an Easter project using one of the images which I will share with you next week. Lynne

No snow at the moment. I make most of my artwork well ahead of when they are actually posted. We had snow in March which is when I was making the cards. Lynne x

    Hi Lynne,
Oh, these are such sweet and delicate creations!! And how unbelievable that it is so cold there when you were making Easter treasures. I hope you don’t have to have an Easter egg hunt in the snow! lol

I love what you have created–it is soooo dreamy!!!
