Pretty Little Things

As someone who is drawn to vintage dressmaking, corsets and dressforms, when I laid my eyes on Crafty Individuals latest release there was no doubt this stamp set was for me. This Element range stamp (CI-306) consists of a receipt (the largest stamp), dressform and the smaller stamps include a hat, umbrella, drawstring bag (this may well be a Dolly bag), fan and 3 corsets.
Instinctively I reached for a muted palette. The dressform stamped onto a K&co tag and decorated with a scrap piece of lace and MOP button, embellishing the dressform with a teeny paper flower and flat back pearl.
When stamping, I am at my happiest when I am able to integrate other stamps as it certainly means I get more mileage from the stamps I own.  Here I used CI-203, a ledger stamp which works well with these images. Corsets  were stamped onto the pattern paper. On the second  card another tag was used, this time from Crafty Individuals.Crafty Individuals sell an indispensable pack of plain tags, which take colour beautifully. I used the smallest size tag.   Before stamping the dressform I created a background using the large receipt stamp and stamps from CI-307. I also used two of the stamps from that set to add some subtle stamping onto the scallop edged border.
The eagle-eyed amongst you will notice, in the main photograph, a tag book. I intended to include the tag book in this post but I am sure it would make the post far too lengthy so I will share that you with very soon.  Lynne x

These are so delicate and sweet! I adore the wonderful stamps and colors, but you also added darling accents! From what I saw of the Royal Wedding on tv…the UK is much greener than Michigan right now. Very late spring here – I am convinced Scotland is warmer than we are! 🙂 Have a Happy Friday m’dear! xoxoxo
