They Carry Secrets On Their Wings

Some weeks ago I made these butterfly cards and when wondering what to post for Pink Saturday I realised they would be suitable.
One evening I gathered the beautiful butterfly stamp from Red Lead Paperworks, some watercolour paper, paints and yes, you guessed it …. scraps of paper, lace, etc.
The French Writing stamp on the Stampington & co trim is such a favourite, in fact I’ve no idea how I managed to live without this stamp!A Crafty Individuals stamp added for a little bit of detail with a piece of lace stapled to it.I am ashamed to say that until recently I didn’t own a decent pair of crafting scissors that was until my friend Debbie sent a pair of precision tip scissors. Oh the difference they have made when doing fussy cutting.Instead of Kraft paper I painted cardstock with metallic paint. In the corner some stamped details (Crafty Individuals and Oxford Impressions).
Nature inspired artwork is not my usual style but the more I make the more I enjoy it. A recent purchase is Oxford Impressions’ Birds Nest plate of stamps which I hope to play with very soon. Lynne x

Lynne, these are beautiful. I love butterfly images, especially the realistic looking ones. That Stampington stamp is certainly versatile, whether it’s used for a background or focal image or just as an embellie.

    Have a lovely weekend.

These are just gorgeous. I was just checking on my post after being absent for a couple of days and thought I’d see what you’d been up to over the weekend. My mojo seems to have dried up a bit just lately and I think when I have my ‘parole’ I shall spend some time going through your blog as it always inspires me. xx

How beautiful your work is. So perfect for Pink Saturday too. I lost my precision scissors in the renovations and I miss them so much. They truly do make a difference in tiny cuttings. And I won’t allow my sewing scissors to be used by anyone either. Am I bad? Happy Pink (belated) Saturday.
