Santa Is In The Pink

Update:- I was thrilled to discover some of my Pink Santas were published in The Stampers’ Sampler

June at Dezinaworld has Christmas images to suit all tastes. Over the next few weeks I will be sharing cards, etc made with a variety of her image sheets but today the focus is on the Pink Santas image sheet, as you can see below a sheet with Victorian Christmas charm. At Dezinaworld earlier in the week June shared the DT art that was created with this sheet. If you have visited you will see that there are many possibilities.
June also has freebies at Dezinaworld for you to use in your artwork.
After printing off this sheet I sat with a handful of supplies (yes, they were mainly scraps!) and set about making a batch of Christmas cards. For all cards I used Kraft cards as my base.I limited myself to a few stamps from Oxford Impressions’ Winter Snow and Season of Giving plates.Deko Ice was used here and there to create sparkle and texture.Scraps of hessian, twine and tissue tape decorate the cards.Keeping my supplies to a minimum and creating cards that are a variation on a theme resulted in the cards being made relatively quickly.Linking this to Pink Saturday, which Beverley does a wonderful job of organising.
I am sorry if I have not been able to visit your Blogs recently, I hope it won’t be too long before I am able to catch-up with you.
Wishes
Lynne

I love your cards Lynne! Now the sheets from Dezinaworld are ones you download and then you have to print them off yourself correct? I have an inkjet printer and sometimes the colors will smear unless I spray it with an acrylic sealer.

H’mm, not sure how I feel about Santa wearing pink!!! Kind of goes against the grain and although I like to be different, I dunno. Love the artwork, though. Lovely work, Lynne 🙂

Love your cards, Lynne. What a great idea to get out just a few supplies and make similar but different cards – if you know what I mean lol. Being surrounded by tons of stash makes it so difficult to be creative.

On another note, I had time to read through Somerset Studio last night and smiled when I saw your gift bags. They are even prettier in the mag. Congrats!
