The City Sparkles At Christmas

We are now past the half-way mark for The Stampsmith Challenge, with December’s theme of Shimmer, Sparkle and Shine. The first sample I shared with you made use of a stamp from Christmas Card Sheet #1, once again I return to this stamp for the card and tag I am sharing here.
If you are joining us at the challenge please remember that you must include at least one of The Stampsmith stamps in your artwork.
This card has lots of Shimmer, Sparkle and Shine with the aid of Sakura Stardust pen, glass glitter, pearl drop and a shimmery fabric flower.I stamped the image onto pattern paper. With photo real stamps I always say it is trial and error as to what surface you stamp onto. Some photo real stamps will not give you a decent impression on anything other than the required cardstock but it is always worth giving it a go.  Even though this paper has  a pattern the detail of the stamp shows up clearly.A comment left for the card “Meet Me For Christmas In Paris” was from the lovely Trishia at French Kissed Postcards. She said it would make a lovely tag which is what I went on to make. As it is such a generous sized stamp this is an outsize tag. The tag echoes the card I made, with the image stamped  onto pearlescent cardstock layering onto glitter cardstock before creating the two holes to form the tag.
It is a very busy time of the year but if you are making Christmas cards or tags with Shimmer, Sparkle or a hint of Shine and they include at least one of The Stampsmith stamps, then why not enter into The Stampsmith Challenge, you might be the lucky person who wins the Random Prize Draw.
I am busy with Christmas preparations so will have some more Christmas cards, etc to share with you soon.
Wishes
Lynne

Lynne, did you hear me screaming:) Your beyond-words pearlescent cardstock creation has been hanging from my computer screen since Saturday. Merci beaucoup is too shallow. I’m humbled and honored — I feel like anything I try to say will sound trite, or with my old-age memory, it may even be something I’ve already said before in response to your continued generousity. So let me just stumble on here to at least say this: part of what feeds my soul in this crazy, crazy world is being able to cast my eyes on beauty. I love being surrounded by treasures that call to me, that force me — in a good way — to pause, to stop the busyness and to smile, to take time to feel the glow and warmth it brings up within in. The Eiffel Tower hanging is just such a treasure and it’s appreciated beyond words:)

Superb shimmer, sparkle and shine! How’s that for an alliterative compliment lol! :-). I love the photo stamp on patterned paper and you are so very right about the trial and error that goes along with them.
