Hello Everyone
This is a scheduled post where I thought I would share another project using Crafty Individuals CI-347. I have a feeling this stamp will not only be one of my favourites but also many of you will love to ink this stamp. So far I’ve only shared the wall hanging Fly Towards Bliss but in the near future will share some cards, etc but today it is a tote bag.
The actual cotton tote is the same as I’ve used in the past. If you are like me, read that as not competent with a grown-up sewing machine (!) then these bags are perfect as they are ripe for altering.
I tore a panel of pretty fabric whereby I then layered vintage lace which I had dyed in a bath of tea and coffee. Buttons, lace and scrap fabric tied into a bow embellish the stamped image.Lace edges the top and bottom of the bag with a scrap piece added as decoration.
As I said, you will definitely see this stamp cropping up on future projects along with other new Crafty Individuals stamp releases.
Just because I am scheduling posts doesn’t mean that I do not appreciate your visits and comments, catching-up with the lovely words left for me to read means an awful lot so thank you.
Take care and if I haven’t visited you then I hope to do so soon.
Wishes
Lynne

This would be a lovely boudoir bag, I can see it hanging from a door or drawer knob, perhaps with a pair of silk stockings peeking out.

Hi Lynne……..this is gorgeous. Great idea to alter a cotton tote bag. I have never owned a sewing machine in my life.. now I have two !! As my mum sews I always managed to avoid using one, but now I will have to have a go…………..thats not to say my stitching will be any good……….but I will give it a bash. ( fingers crossed !!)
Thanks for sharing………………Crafty hugs Annie

My sewing machine sits beside me so forlorn, untouched unloved poor thing. What a beautiful bag far to nice to fill would look lovely just hanging somewhere in full view. You are a master of all this beautiful stylish and tasteful. I love this beauty Lynne. I hope wherever you are you are enjoying yourself !
Take care
Marie

Lynne this is so gorgeous. And I do love that stamp. BTW, I just uncovered a good size stash of old lace I had from my grandmother (maybe my Gt. grandmother). I now know what I can do with some of it. It’s so lovely.

Very pretty tote Lynne! It’s so sweet and lovely. And if it gives you some comfort: I’m a total idiot when it comes to using sewing machines. Machines don’t like me 🙂
