Peace On Their Wings (TSC#32)

Hello Everyone
I am sorry that I am so late in posting this.  The first of the month means the announcement of a new theme at The Stampsmith Challenge.
For July we are asking you to create for Christmas In July (Using Summer Colours) here is a little bit more information:-
As is our tradition in July, the theme is Christmas!! As a bonus, your name will be entered twice in the draw for a new sheet of Stampsmith stamps if you use summer colors for your project! Get a head start on your Christmas card making and join us for this month’s challenge!! You can turn any Stampsmith image into a Holiday Greeting!
Please remember to include at least one Stampsmith stamp on your entry.
For my DT sample I used a stamp from the Christmas Card Sheet #   1 . The stamps on this set are exceptionally generous in size. My colour choice were pastels of pink and blue.  Instead of stamping onto glossy cardstock I stamped the image onto co-ordinating Melissa Francis paper, re-inking the sentiment so I could cut out and layer with silicone glue for dimension. Lace was tucked underneath and the image was matted onto glitter cardstock. A length of  pink ribbon which has a snowflake pattern was added to that beautiful wide band of pink lace. More pink touches with the dyed seam binding and lovely tassel. For me it is a bit of a chore to make Christmas cards at this time of the year (despite each year telling myself I will start early!) but it is a good feeling to know that the Christmas projects are now underway. We would love to see your Christmas In July projects whether it be a card, gift tag, gift packaging, etc. You have all of July to create your project. The randomly selected winner will win $21 to spend on stamps of their choice at The Stampsmith store.
All rules of entry are available at TSC Blog as are the other samples made by the DT and you will also be able to view the Top 3 artwork from the June challenge and read the winner’s name for that month.
Thank you for visiting.
Wishes
Lynne

Oh Lynne, I too find it difficult to think about Christmas this early, however this year might be a bit easier, seeing as we’re having very unseasonal weather! Your card is beautiful, that’s a gorgeous stamp. xx
