Such Grace (new Oxford Impressions stamps)

Hello Everyone
To start this new week I thought I would share some new DT artwork with new DT stamps. Yes, it is time to announce a new release from Oxford Impressions ….. Abraham Lincoln.  This stamp set commemorates Lincoln but there is also a nod to a new  movie,  Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, with the inclusion of a coffin, axe and a stamp resembling splatter of blood so if you are starting your Hallowe’en art then there are stamps suitable in this set.  There  are also American Patriotic images and of course stamps of the man himself.  There are some wonderful quotes, a theatre bill (from the night that Lincoln was assassinated) and images of women, so a very varied stamp plate.
Although I only received this plate I was keen to ink it up as soon as possible.  For this first card I selected one of the female stamps.I chose a tall card as a base. I cannot seem to stop using tags at the moment, this tag had been stained with fruity tea bags and at the same time I had also stained vintage lace, flowers and seam binding. I like to do things like this at a time when I want to do something crafty without actually making anything. It was by luck that when I came to making this card I noticed the colours toned with the K&co paper. One of the quotes and another stamp to create a little detail Flowers were layered along with scraps of vintage lace and button. If your thoughts are turning towards Christmas preparations then you might be interested to know that Suzanne has up-dated her Season of Giving plate.  This is a set that I use all year, not only for Christmas.
Thank You for visiting today, have a lovely week and I will catch-up soon.
Wishes
Lynne

This is so pretty, I love the colours you have used, the torn edges and of course the wonderful stamps, that sentiment is perfect for this tag.

So vintage and feminine. Love the fruit tea stained elements – just the sound of them makes me think of Victorian high teas. Great to see some K&Co paper in the mix too. Hugs, Buttons x

Lovely image, and I really like the peach/green color scheme with this. Seems a little different than what you usually use, I think.

Love what you have done with your new stamp set Lynne and I would never have thought of using fruit tea bags to colour tags – a new one on me but the effect is great. I used to drink a lot of blackcurrant tea when I was working until the other girls said it smelled of cat wee (I’m being polite, they didn’t actually say ‘wee’).

Gorgeous Lynne, I adore the colours so soft.. I have never tried fruit tea to dye anything before.. But I did dye some lace with coffee after getting that tip from you… It has turned out beautiful.. I think I need to buy the seasons of giving plate.. it looks fabulous.. I hope the Craft Barn has this one as the p&p is so expensive from the USA…. You inspire me Lynne with your beautiful work… Hugs May x x x

I love the pink and soft colors- and the touch of lace. Lincoln stamps are hard to find…I did an Illinois ATC swap a few years ago, and could not find them anywhere! I will have to go check the stamps out!
