Stay Safe

As I have many American blogging friends and friends of my Blog I just wanted to say to those who might be in the way of Sandy that I hope you are safe and well and that the destruction is at a minimum in  your hometowns.

Thank you Lynne for your words of concern. I have to admit, last night, was a bit scary, here, where I live (upper Northeast near Albany) and thankfully we dodged a bullet. We did get high wind gusts and some rain but we never lost power. Today there are actually patches of blue sky – just crazy. We are all very grateful.

My heart goes out to places in New Jersey, New York City, the Berkshires, and Pennsylvania who seemingly got the brunt of Sandy. I just never remember storms, of this magnitude, coming up the coast this far. Very frightening.

Hope all is well with you and yours. Love, Marilyn

Lynne, My post to-days just echoes what you’ve said. It must be a nightmare for all the people living in these areas. Hugs Rita xx

Dear Lynne ~ thank you for your kind thoughts and good wishes. We feel very lucky here in the Wash DC Metropolitan area, some have lost power which is never good especially since our temps have dropped and it is now wet and chilly.
We suffered no damage or power loss. The doomsday weather predictions had everyone on edge and quite concerned. We are relieved that is behind us now. Still raining, but the promise of sunshine is around the corner.
Prayers to all those north of us that will be suffering from the devastation for some time.
    Hugs to you

Thank you, Lynne. I live in SE Texas, so I am very familiar with hurricanes. I, too, hope all within our voice have been spared. My family lives in New Jersey, and they are fairing well, so it’s with gratitude that I lift up my heart today toward our heavenly Father for His gracious ears toward proclamations of safety.

    Blessings for your well-being,
    Marianne xo

How kind of you to post this! I’m just seeing it now and am really so touched, Lynne. We got power back last night (Saturday) after losing it Monday. Unpleasant, but so very fortunate compared to so many who had tragic losses.
