The Scented Garden

Hello Everyone
At Gecko Galz the DT were asked to create a card for National Cardmaking Day.  For my card I blended a digi stamp  and digi paper from Gecko Galz alongside rubber stamping on this 8″x8″ card.or blog-001
This is a detail of the Gecko Galz digi paper which I stamped onto with Distress Ink, in fact the rose stamp is barely visible but simply adds another dimension to this beautiful paper.
stampingontoggpaperThis is the Gecko Galz digi stamp which I printed onto cardstock that I stained prior to printing.detail2It was the digi stamp I selected first of all followed by the  digi paper which I had used earlier in the year and simply loved it so much that I was keen to make use of it once again and with the theme of the stamp and the colour of the paper I realised that I had to use one of my all time favourite rubber stamps. birthdaycards 013-001Here follows the supply list and instructions:-
Gecko Galz Star Crossed Papers
Gecko Galz Let Them Eat Cupcakes digi stamp
Oxford Impressions Soul of the Rose
Oxford Impressions With Love (Happy Birthday)
Oxford Impressions Jane’s Garden (butterfly and rose)
Tattered Rose Distress Stain and Distress Ink
Archival Coffee

Extras:- 8”x8” cardbase, seam binding and lace (dyed), cluster of paper flowers, cream picot edged ribbon, fabric ribbon sticker, lace rose trim, vintage trim, eyelet, glossy and white cardstock.

Print Star Crossed digi paper and then adhere to cardbase. Repeatedly stamp rose with Distress Ink. Adhere stained lace to cardbase and picot edged ribbon which was layered with a fabric ribbon.
In Word create two of the rose collage digi stamps, one image smaller than the other then print onto the stained cardstock. Select the larger image and distress the edges. For the smaller image tear a section of the script.
Adhere rose collage to cardbase. Embellish the top corner with bow and a cluster of paper roses. Stamp Happy Birthday onto scrap of Star Crossed digi paper, create tag shape, insert an eyelet and attach to the bow with lace.
Stamp Soul of the Rose onto glossy cardstock, lightly tint the roses. Stamp butterflies and fussy cut. Layer all to cardbase along with the script torn from the second rose collage digi stamp. Finally embellish with rose lace trim and a fragment of vintage trim.

Many Thanks for your visit to this scheduled post, your visits are always appreciated by me.
