The Birds Sing Their Sweet Song

Up-dated:- This is the link for the lace stamp used on one of the cards.  It is an Elements stamp set from Crafty Individuals, CI-350.

Hello Everyone
It surely is as far back as September when I shared some Crafty Individuals team samples using what were at the time, quite new releases of various bird stamps. As happens, time passes by so quickly that I never did share the final two samples I made, all were made at the same time.
CI-389 – a pretty collage style stamp, Crafty Individuals are surely the best at collage style stamps. This pretty stamp depicts a sweet bird perched, precariously, atop a stack of vintage cups with the clock in the background stating 3 o’ clock, a call for afternoon tea perhaps.DIGITAL CAMERAThis was one of those times when I opted for a clean and fresh background, instead of paint flicks or inked edges. DIGITAL CAMERAI was trying to aim for a country style, with the addition of this lovely lace, floral washi tape, fragment of gingham ribbon and layering of flowers. DIGITAL CAMERADid you notice that the lace beneath the collage stamp was actually layered onto stamped lace? The stamped lace is from an Elements set from Crafty Individuals, a very useful set to own especially if you are like myself and always love the addition of lace on a project. DIGITAL CAMERAMore flowers with a rustic style wooden button which I dry brushed with paint to blend with the paper punched flowers. DIGITAL CAMERAWhile I am here sharing this card I might as well share the final team sample, sorry, this is a photo heavy post!
This card is smaller, 6″x6″ and uses CI-387, Love Is All Around.DIGITAL CAMERAThe theme and feel is similar to the first with it seeing me using the same stamping surface for the collage stamp and the same colour palette.
This is a stamped fragment from another Crafty Individuals stamp. DIGITAL CAMERAThis fine corrugated cardboard, dry brushed of course,  suited the feel of the card, layered with fragments and a paper flower.DIGITAL CAMERAThank you for your visit to this post. Tomorrow is my final post for this week which sees me share my DT project for That’s Crafty, although the regulars amongst you know that I am always sneaky on a Sunday!
Wishes
Lynne

Two beautiful birdcollage stamps from CI and yes, they are very good in making these collage stamps, I simply love most of them.
Love the colorcombination of the cards. Didn’t expect these colors (white card, brown stamp on kind of ivory paper) would fit perfectly to each other, but you made them fit together very well.
Two great cards you are showing here.

I love the bird stamps- all birdstamps, Lynne- and these are sweet and cozy to see, too- with the lovely backgrounds of the birds!! and the white clean card behind it all, makes it look so beautifully and fresh . I alwayes love your little addded elements, like the cardboard, and the tiny splashes of colours- So beautiful both dear friend.

This is so pretty. The bird is a lovely image and the colours you have chosen are my favourite combination. This has a very vintage, cottage home feel about it.

These have such a lovely, country feel! I really love your work, Lynne. You create such appealing and pretty art whatever techniques or styles you adopt. I particularly like the stamped lace used with real lace on the first sample! I am going to hunt that lace stamp out, as it seems a really useful ‘element’ to have. ‘That’s Crafty’ have been really helpful with an order for me lately. I shall take a peek at your post for them with great interest! Julie Ann xx

I enjoyed each and every photo in your post dear Lynne
Brilliant use of ‘real’ lace and ‘stamped’ lace…
the bird on the stacked teacups is such a precious stamp and of course how you’ve used it ♥

Both cards are precious and gingham always make me think of ‘country’ along with the sweet rose calico you used!
