Gathering Around The Tree

Hello Everyone
Did you know the December challenge is underway at Crafty Individuals (Crafty Individuals December Challenge)?  Jean is asking you to create Something Festive.  All details for entering your art can be read at the Blog but here are some guidelines.
To enter this month’s Crafty Individuals Challenge please put together your chosen project, which must include at least one Crafty Individuals product please, then post your Challenge project on the Crafty Individuals Blog,
At the end of the month  five lucky participants will be selected with each winning  a CI rubber stamp of their choice.
Also all entrants are entitled to a huge 25% discount to use on anything purchased from the  CI Website,.
The team sample I am sharing is a canvas with the Starry Christmas Tree Stencil being the main feature.christmastreelynnemoncrieffAlways difficult to capture sparkle on a photograph but that is what this canvas is all about with a generous scattering of DekoIce Crystal. DIGITAL CAMERAThis is it photographed at a different angle, doesn’t it appear to be more pink in tone. The emulsion paint I used on the canvas has a very subtle pink, very similar to Paper Artsy’s Vintage Lace.
detail2To bring interest to the right of the tree and also to add dimension to the lower corner I stamped one of the images from an Elements set, CI-326.  Turning the stamped festive postal mark style stamp into an embellishment by simply stitching a mother of pearl button  with a fragment of vintage lace peeking from behind.

detail3If you are right in the middle of your Christmas preparations whether it be cards, tags or festive decorations, if you find yourself inking up a Crafty Individuals stamp or using one of their products then why not enter it into the December challenge, you never know, you could be the lucky winner of a Crafty Individuals stamp of your choice. Wouldn’t that be a lovely way to end your creative year!
Thank You so much for your visit to this post. Your visits are always appreciated but none moreso than this time of the year when it can be a struggle to simply keep up with the administration of your own Blogs, nevermind visiting here so thank you so much.
