A Stitch In Time (Published – Sew Somerset)

Hello Everyone
This scheduled post is certainly winding the clock back.  It was in the Autumn of last year when Sew Somerset contacted me asking if I would write an article around the tote I had submitted.   You can imagine how thrilled I was!
I cannot thank Sew Somerset enough for the pretty manner they photographed the tote.  I am never sure of the copyright issues surrounding sharing photographs and text from publications so the photograph I am sharing is one I took prior to submitting (regulars to my Blog know that I never request that submissions be returned to me).
For me, it is always the cherry on the cake when published work features a stamp company I design for, in this instance all the stamps in the article featured in the Winter 2014 issue are Oxford Impressions stamps:-
Dressforms & Corsetry
Sewing Notions.
DIGITAL CAMERAThe notion behind the intention for this tote was explained in my actual article.
Many thanks for your visits. I always appreciate the time you take to visit but all the more so when I am unable to visit your own Blog posts.
Wishes
Lynne

Stunning tote Lynne. I love how you have used the Muslin. Funnily enough I’m stitch a larger tote at the moment. Hugs Rita xxx

Congratulations, Lynne! I’ll have to look for that publication. I love the stamped text behind the pocket, and the fun pull-tag you incorporated into the bag design.

Whenever you made it, doesn’t matter. Only what you made and how you made it is important and you made a gorgeous tote here. It’s a beautiful piece of work!
I can imagine that you’re proud of being published in a worldwide magazine, there’s nothing wrong with that!!!!
I was published here in Holland in a magazine (ArtSpecially) with a small card and I was sooo proud, even when no one else would have noticed it :-))
