Serene Nature

Hello Everyone
I have a card to share which was made months ago and has already made an appearance at the Darkroom Door Blog.
This card features a stamp from the Etched Flowers stamp set (all details can be found in the blog post at Darkroom Door).
serenitylynnemoncrieffYou can faintly see the French book text peeking through the light wash of paint.detailoneA gathering of fragments:- fabric, stamped script, painted burlap, etc. That piece of floral fabric might be tiny but I liked the pop of pink and red against the Kraft and other neutrals.detail3A quick post but you will understand that I do not want to write a lengthy post when all information is available in the Darkroom Door post.
If you are a fan of Darkroom Door then you can keep up-dated on product news by signing up for the newsletter.
Wishes
Lynne

I love how your cards and canvases are so beautifully composed, Lynne, while retaining a sense of playfulness and a random gathering of delicate textures, fragile elements and subtle colours. It all looks perfectly natural and not at all contrived and yet there is meticulous attention to detail there. This is a beautiful example of your skill. xxx

My dear Lynne, I think this art piece wouldn`t have been yours, if the little piece of pink and red had been missing ,lol- tiny pieces of lovely fabrics, kind of belongs to your beautiful creations .
The way of painting your card, and the background with the script stamp, looks fantastic, and the wonderful stamp, in the middle, with the sweet accents of burlap, flower and book page scrap, is so beautiful in all it`s simplicity !

So pretty and serene, indeed Lynne 🙂 I love your mix of rough & delicate fabrics–lace with burlap then that sweet little piece of material with pink & red, right next to ‘raw’ staples…I love that corner! I love the entire card!! YAY for DD for having you on their DT 🙂 XOXO-Shari
