Silken Wings Amongst The Roses

Hello Everyone
The stamp which started me off on my Redlead Paperworks art journey is the beautiful Butterfly Stack .  Several weeks ago it was this stamp I inked up for another Guest Designer sample for Redlead Paperworks.redleadlynnemoncrieff1From the outset all I had in mind was to work on a canvas panel, for the butterflies to be the focal and beyond that, to include texture and shimmer.2lynnemoncrieffThe butterflies are raised from the canvas as I wanted the sense that they had only rested there for a mere second, ready to flutter into the breeze .1I am happiest when adding bits of this and that, especially if it includes little pieces of text but as I played around with placement I decided to simply use one text stamp on the panel,  Silken Wings is from one of the Little Labels sets.  Those sets are fabulous, brimming over with words/phrases.  You will find Silken wings on the Little Labels Butterfly Wishes set.tagdetailTouches of texture here and there.2Maybe you can see the shimmer, although faint in the photographs, in real life the light catches the Twinkling H20s beautifully.texturesdetailAmongst the roses.3If you are interested in Redlead Paperworks then you can sign up for their newsletter where you will receive news on special offers and new products along with Redlead artwork.
Thank you so much for your visit to this post.
Wishes
Lynne

    Oh, dear Lynne,
this is so very beautiful…those wonderful colours,- I love pink and orange together, like here,- and all the fantastic texture from laces, ribbons and tape makes my eyes wander from one corner to the other, finding beauty all over and around the lovely coloured butterflyes .A gorgeous piece , and you had me go look at all the great labels from Redlead Paperworks. I wish I could see the H2o shimmer more, I might have to find some here, 🙂 in Denmark.
Hug to you my friend, and a happy weekend Lynne.
