A Heart Isn’t Just For Valentine’s Day

Hello Everyone
February 14th has passed by for another year but I still have Valentine themed creations to share with you, although there is no reason any of the three cards I am sharing in this post wouldn’t be suitable for an Anniversary, Wedding or just to tell someone they are loved.
The three cards were published in The Stampers’ Sampler (I had submitted them for their Challenge Call .. Heart of a Different Colour.), I was so happy to see they had made the grade.
From the outset I knew all three cards would have the beautiful Stampington stamp, Large Scroll Heart as the focal with a smaller heart overlapping. heartonelynnemoncrieffThe backgrounds on all three cards were made in a similar style with torn paper, papers with a romantic theme so either hearts or flowers.  At this stage I also laid down torn lace and muslin, all before the first application of paint.  I didn’t want any embellishments on the cards, it was to be about the backgrounds and stamping.
The smaller heart is an Oxford Impressions heart from My Story (available in the U.K. from That’s Crafty).  The heart was stamped with blue and pink paint and over stamped with a Darkroom Door script stamp and on top of that, a little bit of sweet Love from Crafty Individuals.heart1.2lynnemoncrieffThe sentiment is a mash of different stamps.  Believe in from the Oxford Impressions stamp Believe in your dreams, once again from the My Story set, as does the word Love.hearttwolynnemoncrieffThe third and final card with the smaller heart made from texture paste tinted with paint and this particular stencil, designed by Rebekah Meier (available from That’s Crafty) simply stamped over once it had dried.heartthreelynnemoncrieffNowadays I rarely use stamps beyond stamp companies whose DTs/GDs so it was nice to ink up this beautifully detailed heart stamp.three.2lynnemoncrieffThank You for taking the time to visit this scheduled post.
Wishes
Lynne

This is beyond exquisite Lynne! I love the delicacy of the colour palette and the stamping and stencils work superbly, especially with the fragments of lace. This would make such a beautiful anniversary card or a wedding congratulations – even to remind someone that you love them, so hearts are certainly not just for Valentine Day, you’re right. xx

Sorry, I should have said ‘each of these would make a beautiful anniversary card etc’, as I do realize they are a set of cards. Today I have a headache, which is making me silly! xxx
