Hello Everyone
I would like to share in this post one of a trio of cards (the others will follow in subsequent blog posts) which was published in The Stampers’ Sampler (Apr/May/Jun issue). It was the first time I had submitted PaperArtsy artwork so I was thrilled to discover that they had made the grade!
I will admit that I came to the LPC stamps a bit late. I have been a great admirer of Lynne Perrella since the first time I spied her artwork in a copy of Somerset Studio, going on to purchase a few of her own stamps so it is strange that I came to her collection for PaperArtsy so late in the day.
The cards were so enjoyable to make, as I gathered little elements to bring texture and shimmer although they were time consuming.
Metallic paints and Twinkling H20s along with texture paste and TCW stencils onto a panel of watercolour paper is the base for this card.I love tags and it is not unusual for a tag to be incorporated into my cardmaking. For this I stamped onto a stained tag, layering stamped borders to bring further interest to the tag element.
I also repeatedly stamped the ship’s sails around the edge of the tag. Shimmer from scraps of metallic fabrics catch the light.
This fabulous stamp is from Oxford Impressions, The Deep which along with all of the LPC stamps can be purchased from That’s Crafty.
As I said, I will share the other two cards in future posts, it would be far too photo heavy to have shared them as one blog post.
In the meantime, many, many thanks for your visit. I hope life is being kind to you all and maybe you are starting to see the first signs of summer, of course that depends on which hemisphere you call home! We have days of sunshine although there is still a nip in the air and blustery winds. I have some beachy inspired cards to be sharing but personally, I am not quite feeling those languid summer days, as yet!

Hello Everyone
I had the loveliest of surprises when Stampington & co made contact, posing some questions my way which would appear on their Blog, Somerset Place.
Stampington & co have been so good to me, supportive and encouraging, which never ceases to amaze me. I have absolutely no idea how I reached this place, to be named alongside a host of artists who I admire greatly, including the lovely and incredibly talented Renee Zarate but also, amongst others, the amazing Seth Apter and Anna Corba whose stamps and books I own and whose style I have adored since the first time I came across her art and Sandra Everston who is another incredible artist and again someone whose stamp designs I own.
The artwork shown alongside my response is something I will be sharing on my Blog at a later date, once I get myself a wee bit better organised. It is a card featuring PaperArtsy Lynne Perrella Collection stamps, a card which appears in the latest issue of The Stampers’ Sampler.
Have a wonderful week and I hope to start up-dating my Blog soon enough …. I do say “hope”!

Hello Everyone
At the moment I have nothing new to share with you, new as in projects made over the past weeks but what I do have to share in this post are two cards which I made last year. They were made to answer a Challenge Call at The Stampers’ Sampler for their annual Celebration Challenge. I wanted to submit a trio of cards featuring Crafty Individuals Alice Palace designs. Those particular stamps I have had a personal struggle when it came to inking them up. The trouble was, I was desperately trying to fit them into my vintage style but once I simply kicked back and had fun with them, life was so much easier! For this Challenge Call I have only ever submitted to a shabby chic/vintage style but this time I wanted to be a bit more playful.
In this post I am sharing two of the three cards that were published.
I dipped into various Alice Palace designs to create my own little scene with my own polka dots bringing a little extra fun element to the background.
A little bit of chipboard bunting which I painted and added a stamped cupcake.
Puffin’ Out The Candles.
I like the way it looks as though Mr Puffin is eyeing up those cakes. His beady eye is most certainly on them!
On both cards, the birthday stamp is from Oxford Impressions’ Fairy Sweet and the Happy is from Darkroom Door.
I will share, over time, the other submissions which I was thrilled to have published. There are more which were in answer to this Challenge Call and some other bits ‘n’ pieces.
Thank You for your visit to this scheduled post. I really do appreciate your loyalty and friendship.
