To start this brand new week I have a scheduled post to share a card I made many weeks ago featuring beautiful Redlead Paperworks stamps, dipping into the Redlead Paperworks Song Bird Collection.
On first viewing it might look as though I stamped onto the crackled and stencilled background, which is exactly what I did do but I also decided to stamp the bird again, allowing me to layer the image, creating more dimension. This stamp is such a lovely size.I am always happiest when gathering little bits of this ‘n’ that and creating texture.
One of the reasons I adore Redlead, other than the actual images of the stamps, is that they include all the stamps which help me build up a theme, such as relating sentiments and little extras such as the music score.
An adorable spotty feather tucked behind a wooden circle, painted and stamped to create an embellishment.More layers with a scrap of painted muslin, a delicate blue layered jute ribbon, more of the stamped music score and you know me well enough, lace will usually make a feature somewhere!Thank You to Chris and Sharon for allowing me to create with their wonderful stamps.
If your thoughts are turning towards Halloween then you might want to pop on over to Redlead where they have Halloween themed stamps, stencils, collage sheets and more ……. all waiting to tempt you!
Many thanks for taking the time to visit.
