PaperArtsy Launch Night – Eclectica Darcy

Hello Everyone
Tonight sees the launch of more PaperArtsy stamps, this time designed by the wonderful Darcy Wilkinson.

To view Darcy’s new stamp designs, which have a Christmas theme, along with samples by all her wingmen then please visit the PaperArtsy Blog post HERE.
I was lucky enough to be asked to be a wingman, having the fun of playing with the new stamps.
Let me whizz through the samples I made with both stamp sets all of which were made to the stipulated colour palette.
Sample No. 1winterwishesreinderoneStamping with paint for the background design with the same colour sprayed onto the cardbase.winterwishesreindeertwoA little hanging sentiment clustered with some bits and pieces.winterwishesreindeerthreeSample No. 2 – a Christmas bauble
baubleoneFresco Metallic Glaze was sprayed onto the painted background of the wooden bauble before layering up the stamped poinsettia.baubletwoSample No. 3 treeoneSample No. 4
Nearly all my samples feature PaperArtsy Fresco Metallic Glaze, particularly this card. You can see it reacting with the light.  Metallic Glaze is lovely made into a spray.snowmanoneI stamped one of the baubles forming a cluster of embellishments to add a little bit of interest to this corner of the card.
snowmanthreeSample No. 5 16 August 156Working with the designated colours to create splatters on the cardbase and to paint cardstock which I used as my stamping surface for the beautiful reindeer. The strip down the side was a piece of cardstock I had half prepared last Christmas with a snowflake stencil and iridescent texture paste so all I had to do was swipe on one of the designated paint colours, the iridescent paste creates a lovely resist effect. twoSample No. 6 reindeeroneThe paints diluted to create a soft, watery background onto which I splattered more paint and even more Metallic Glaze.  The reindeer was stamped onto cardstock which again was painted with Metallic Glaze applied as a wash prior to stamping.  The sentiment was stamped onto the same surface and cut into word tiles.reindeerfourWhite Fire Treasure Gold was applied here and there, simply swiped on with my fingertips.reindeerthreeThank You to Darcy for having me be one of her wingmen, it was a pleasure.
If you are interested in any of the newly launched PaperArtsy stamps along with the Limited Edition Frescos, Fresco Drying Retarder and Fresco Frosting Glaze then please source from your local stockist or favourite on-line store. They are available from That’s Crafty.
Thank You for visiting this blog post, sorry for being so lengthy!
Wishes
Lynne

Great looking stamps and I love the samples you’ve made with them. I’m trying not think about Christmas being just round the corner but you’ve inspired me to start thinking about my seasonal projects. Life has gotten in the way of a few things over the last couple of months but hopefully I’ll be a regular visitor to your blog once again.

Oh Lynne, I’m so sorry to congratulate you so lately on this bunch of delightful Chrismas makes!!!! I’ve seen them on the blog quickly a few days ago (great to see you among the wingmen of course), but they are well worth seeing again in details on your blog, there are so many lovely details on each one… And I enjoy reading the way you sprayed the Fresco metallic Glaze (do you mix it with water?..). Love your samples, the stamps by Darcy are wonderful and you rocked with them in your particular fab style dear Lynne.
    Hugs, Coco xx

OMG! WOW, Lynne!! Look at all of these wonderful Christmas creations!! WOW!! I’m loving all of the blues and purples you’re using–Love the non-traditional color palettes! I love your layered Christmas Bauble! That’s a darling creation that can be used as a tree decoration or a card decoration–You did that on purpose didn’t you!! 😉 🙂 Your card Sample #3 could be my fav–It’s simple and sweet, but the pearl embellies really posh it up! LOVE IT!! Fabulous ‘wingman’ creations, Lynne!! XOXO-Shari
