Hello Everyone
A simple card to share with you which although simple, I was just as happy to see it published within the pages of the latest issue of The Stampers’ Sampler.
One of their annual challenge calls is Holiday Happenings and as it is a call I have tried to answer the past few years, I was keen to do so again. I submitted a variety of styles trying to work with the various stamp companies I am so very lucky to be connected with. Over the next few weeks I will share the various cards.
I happened to notice that Stampington & co shared this on their Facebook page otherwise I actually didn’t intend to write a blog post about it.
The stamps I used are noted below. The background is Gesso onto Kraft cardstock onto which I stencilled snowflakes with Maimeri irridescent paste
CI-363 Crafty Individuals and
Redlead – Stamp Some Tape:- Christmas Greeting and Snowflakes
If it wasn’t for the background, which is quite time consuming, this card would otherwise be a Take Ten style card but the background alone needs more than ten minutes which is why I submitted to The Stampers’ Sampler.
To heighten the sparkle and shimmer I also applied vintage mica flakes and diamond glass glitter.
This is the lovely Stamp Some Tape stamp.
Thank You for visiting this scheduled post.
Wishes
Lynne

What an exquisite card. It really captures the magic of winter. The background with the Gesso and the snowflakes is beautifully effective. I remember some years ago a friend and I used to visit a little shop near The British Museum called Blade Rubber Stamps. I used to love to flip through the magazines, marvelling at the gorgeous cards created by the contributors. Little did I know that one day I would be privileged to comment on the work of one of these artists and that her blog would bring me so much pleasure! Well done on being published again, Lynne. xx

Lynne, I love the look you’ve achieved by painting the kraft card stock with white gesso. I really think that the kraft card stock lends itself to the vintage look. By adding the stenciled snowflakes, mica flakes and glass glitter this card has such a wonderful vintage Christmas feel. Congrats on another beautiful publications in The Stampers Sampler! xx sharon

Dear friend, this adorable card of yours, bringing the stars from above, twinckle on earth, making the beautiful snowflakes dance , and glitter too, is so gorgeous !!
With your simple design together with the white and golden Kraft card colours, the glitter and text, you create a stunning little scenery , one of which we all would be delighted to see in December ,if snowing from above.
I was so very proud for you, when opened this Stampers Sampler issue, so filled with your most beautiful creations Lynne.
