All We Are Saying …..

is give

a chance

Some would say it is the sub-conscious at work, some might say it is simply that I now have stamps, with the word Peace, at my disposal to ink up.  Whatever it may be, possibly a bit of both, I seem to be returning to this word and this was actually all before the most recent attacks, on the Russian plane and on Paris.

The trio of tags were made to attach to gifts I would be sending and also a way of working with the Crafty Individuals CI-488 stamp.  I quickly took some photos of the tag attached to the gift, which I was organising to pop into the mail.  Editing the photos for this scheduled post, that particular photo, with the Peace tag, has taken on a new significance in light of the recent tragedies.
CI-448, Festively Curly Words
On a lighter note, the latest Crafty Individuals challenge, Winter Frost, is well underway and you are welcome to join the challenge. Click HERE to visit the CI blog for details on entering your artwork.
If you are interested, the tags are simply made by stamping onto and collaging together various cardstock and papers which I painted and sprayed with metallics, with a torn piece of fabric (thank you Dorthe!) attached and simply adorned with rhinestones/pearls.
Many thanks for your visit to this blog post and wherever you are…. Stay Safe.

Gorgeous trio of tags, very sweet and peaceful creation that I also love.
And yes, PEACE is the word we definitely must believe in especially for the future of our children and next generations of human people. Otherwise, this is so sad…. I have had 5 children as you know, so what will be their future?.. I’m worried a lot of course.
Happily, we have our creative mind and hands to comfort us all.
    Hugs, take care Lynne. xxx

Lovely, Lovely, Lovely!! This trio of tags are simple and elegant and sooo pretty, Lynne (just like you!)!! 🙂 🙂 I love the layered papers and your simple embellies of little pearls and stapled ribbon (is that velvet ribbon?) 🙂 Not only could these tags be tags for gifts, they could be mini ‘cards’ to send out, too! Oh, now there’s an idea (since I can’t seem to get myself into the Christmas card making mood yet…) 🙂 You always give me such good ideas, Lynne!! You stay safe, too!!

Lynne, I just love the organic textural look of these “peaces” with the subtle coloring. Your work is lovey as always. Yes, I think as we live longer on this earth, we value peace more and more. May you have plenty of it this holiday season!
