She Loves Snowflakes

Hello Everyone
All of a sudden it feels as though Christmas is nearly here and the realisation that I still have a few festive pieces to share.
Last year I was lucky enough to receive some beautiful Redlead Paperwork  Christmas themed stamps to play with, including She Loves Snowflakes.
With this delightful stamp with the sweetest little girl surrounded by a flurry of pretty snowflakes, I made this wee hanging. snowflakegirllynnemThe handmade paper, with the little white dots, brought to mind snow and when torn it created the fluffiest of edges, perfect for adding some softness to the panel and as a way of tying in with the stamped image, with the snowflake background.  To add to the flurry I also scattered diamond glass glitter and a dash of the teeniest tiniest pearl stickers.detailtwoThis lovely sentiment is available on this particular set HERE (also from Redlead Paperworks). I so love this set because the sentiments are just a little bit different to the normal Christmas/festive greetings. I’ve been dipping into this set many times for Christmas 2015.  detailthreeI can just imagine this sweet girl donning her pristine ice skates to skate on the local frozen lake with her friends, catching falling snowflakes on their tongues.  I can almost hear their giggles ringing sweetly through the frosty air!detailfiveSharon and Chris at Redlead are so productive, they are constantly releasing new products whether new stamps, collage sheets, chipboard or wooden items. Their on-line store is a treasure trove of goodies.
Many thanks for your visit. I always appreciate them.
Wishes
Lynne

I love this evocative piece, Lynne…. I’ve no idea how you made those wonderful little skates, but they are fantastic! And those little pearl accents infuse the piece and me with such joy…. truly beautiful! The stamp set is fabulous, and you’ve gone further with it – Red Lead is proud of your piece, I am sure!

Oh my gosh, this is one fabulous project! I love everything about it, the separation of the panels, the colors, and especially the fab little girl stamp! You have all the best stamp company sources, but I don’t know how to get their products in the US without paying high shipping, any suggestions?

So very beautiful, Lynne. I really love the gorgeous colour choices and the glittery frosty feel. The little girl is so sweet and the ice skate is so pretty. I used to skate when I was young and this took me back to the magic of moving across the ice. Wonderful sentiments from Red Lead too! They are second to none. xx

Lynne, such a beautiful, soft little wall hanging. I just purchased this darling little girl stamp from Redlead this week! Can’t wait to receive it and make some Christmas art with it. Your addition of those precious tiny pearls really adds a luxurious touch to the piece. A little glass glitter is just the right sparkle! Thanks for sharing your wonderful Christmas art creation with us! inybru xx
