At One With Nature

Hello Everyone
Last year I received some nature stamps from the lovely Redlead.  As far back as October, November, I used some of the stamps to make birthday cards but never intended to share them here.  However, Redlead Paperworks have announced some new releases, more nature themed stamps, so I thought I would go ahead and share the cards from last year in one, speedy post.
If you are interested in Redlead stamps then you might want to know that at the time of drafting this post, the new releases are on sale, for a limited time only.birdoneredleadlynneYou will find the stamps on this card, HERE.twoEmbellishments were kept to a minimum, a piece of painted deli paper and scrap of fabric, a beautiful coppery satin fabric shot through with green, that my lovely friend Dorthe gifted to me and at the opposite corner, a slice of wood, painted and stamped with the word Bird and to top it off, a wooden bead.3Two birthday cards featuring stamps from HERE. Both the bird, above and the butterfly, are such generous sized stamps.bflyonelynneWashes of watercolour, picking the colours from the fabric scrap added to each card.bflytwolynneSo there we have it, a quick post to squeeze in before I share a scheduled post.

Beautiful cards! I adore nature stamps and have some from Red Lead and have been looking at the new ones. (By the way, thank you for introducing me to them!)
The bird is so sweet; I love the way you have colored him in and made the leaves look so fresh and vibrant! The little wooden bead is the perfect touch to go beside the word on your wooden (?) tag. What a lovely piece of fabric Dorthe has gifted to you. Just the right touch above the your musical score. The butterfly card is smashing!!! Love, love, love the colors! I probably wear more pink and chartreuse and aqua than any other colors. I like the way you stamped the “flutter” several times in varying degrees……makes me think the butterfly is fluttering by! Lovely cards. Thank you for sharing your art work with us. Cheers! inkybru xx

Such beautiful cards Lynne and the stamps are gorgeous. I love the clean backgrounds on these, especially the butterfly as watercolour is my favourite paint medium.

Oh I love the new Redlead nature stamps, Lynne, they are all so beautiful, and the bird caught my eye at once.
You painted her, so beautifully, and let her sing in a green summer tree, where she looks so lovely .The woodtag and pearl, – and piece of fabric from me ( I`m so happy you can use it dear ) makes a wonderful connection.
The butterfly card is wonderfully romantic, and in the sweetest tones, Lynne, the “flutter ” behind is cute, too.
You are so lucky to recieve exatly these stamps- dear,
    Dorthe, xxx

Such beautiful cards, Lynne: I just love to pore over every detail – perfectly chosen and perfectly placed. I have a collection of those little wooden ‘slices’ – not sure what to call them and I love the way you’ve used yours on this card. Red Lead stamps and you go together perfectly! I can’t think of a better artist to promote their beautiful designs. xx
