Cupcake Daydreams (The Stampers’ Sampler)

Hello Everyone
Recently I’ve shared some cards and mixed media panels with a celebratory theme, all published in The Stampers’ Sampler. In that same issue, Spring 2016, a card collection which I’d submitted to Sampler’s sister publication, Take Ten, were printed as a feature, Cupcake Daydreams.
Each mini card features a Redlead stenciled cupcake, pastel colours, trying to evoke a summery, celebratory feel. The cards might not seem my style but as they were made to submit to Take Ten, I could not invest a lot of time in making each and anyway, I wanted the cupcake as the focal with just a dash of trimmings.
Stencils – Cupcake Stencils
Stamps – let the party begin, celebrate, make a wish
fourEach card is mini 3″x4″.threeI was trying for a loose, whimsical approach, drawing the fineliner pen lines in a quick manner after stenciling the cupcakes with paint, onewith each cupcake having some white marker pen dots drawn in.twoSimple embellishments such as this paper flower with a stamped and fussy cut centre, layered with a pearl sticker.fiveThere we have it, a speedy, cupcake card collection!
Thank you so much for your visit.
Wishes
Lynne
BTW – Redlead have just announced  a new stamp collection, By The Sea

Lynne, I thought these were absolutely delightful! So charming and sweet….maybe even delicious! The banners make those cupcakes look like a party all by themselves. The flower toppers, ric-rac, strings and ribbons really give them a celebratory feel. Perfect sentiments! (RedLead?) Party on! 🙂 Best to you, inkybru xx

They are the sweetest greeting for someone, a warm summer day, sending loving wishes for a lovely ice, served with cute words, and banners, and the sweet flowers, too.
