Remembering 9/11

Some weeks ago, I was approached by Christine Rice Cooper to participate in an anthology of reflections on 9/11, memories of that day and any significance to our lives and art.havefaithlynnemoncriefffeatherThe unfolding of what would become known as 9/11, can be played in my mind as though watching a film. Geographically, the distance is 3,000 + miles away but the impact of the horror, I doubt if I could have been more shocked if it had happened within this island I live on. Emotions transcend geographical boundaries, this was a disaster which resonated with us on a human level, of fear, of confusion, of grief and even, anger.
My recollections of that day and those of so many others, can be viewed HERE.
Many thanks to Chris Rice Cooper for having me be a small part of this anthology.

Dearest Lynne, I know no one like you, whom expresses her thoughts and feeling as beautiful, as you. This is a wonderful example, but there are so many others, when I think the same. You filled in all the possible emotions, so beautiful. Your piece of art, showing nature things, even gives us hope, to ,in spite of all the cruelty and sorrow, the world is dealing with, -to have faith.
Saying so much, in such a beautiful way, dear friend.
    Hugs, Dorthe

I totally agree Lynne! I hope and pray that nothing like that ever happens again. A lovely tribute to those who were affected.

Beautiful and moving in its simplicity, this is the perfect tribute. Although we are miles away geographically from our American sisters and brothers this terrible tragedy shook the world and the shock waves still affect us all. This project has made me stop and meditate again on the event and its implications and pray for a way forward for this beautiful world we share. xxx
