In the Summer issue of Somerset Studio Gallery I am so happy to have a Spotlight on four mixed media panels featuring PaperArtsy products:- stamps, Grungepaste and Fresco chalk acrylics.
This is a photo heavy post so I will keep chat to a minimum! On each panel I wanted the texture to be prominentand on each, a star would be the focal alongside sentimentsand sparkle.No. 2A hint of yellow to represent the sun. I was so happy at the texture achieved on this area of the panel.No. 3Smudges of Pewter catches the light beautifully alongside mica flakes.I absolutely love Sara Naumann’s word stamps as it is so relaxing to play around with the words to form my own sentiments.
This star is embellished with Fresco painted lace with a scattering of mica flakes.No. 4
Doesn’t time just disappear when you have paints and stamps and set to work on backgrounds. I’ve said ofte. The changing colours of the panels depending on how the light catches the paint and mica flakes.
Grungepaste is a “must”. I’ve used other texture pastes but nothing compares to Grungepaste for that perfectly imperfect grungy quality. It was fun to let loose with texture on each of those panels even though the style is bolder than my “norm”.
This was a big issue for me as my artwork also graces the cover!
Thank you so much for your visit.
