The Gift of Giving (Somerset Life)

In the latest issue of Somerset Life, one of my articles features festive packaging.  Although Somerset Life is not a dedicated stamping magazine, it is a lifestyle magazine the tags in the article all feature Crafty Individuals Festive Curly Sentiments, generous sized sentiments which can be the focal on festive cards or tags.slifecitagsonelynneAll the cardstock and papers were painted/stained, also utilising mop up/under paper.
noeltagonelynneI mixed a variety of metallics:- brass, gold, copper, platinum.
rejoiceTiny accents of pearl stickers, rhinestones and tiny pieces of lovely crushed velvet ribbon with the gorgeous copper fabric gifted from my dear friend Dorthe.peacelynnemslilfeSo, even though this post relates to the festivities, I am still not convinced that Christmas is galloping towards us. Where has this year gone?!!!

Oh these are just incredible Lynne.
They carry more than a simple word. There’s a whole message carried within each tag – the colours are peaceful, the adornments have a spiritual base to them. And although they have been made with a nod to Christmas, I’d be over-joyed to receive these at any time of year. …. and quite frankly I wouldn’t put them away either. I think I’d frame them. Possibly individually, so that each one carried it’s own message and spoke directly to the ‘viewer’, rather than be part of a conversation.

I love them. Absolutely love them.
Well done on a truly GREAT make Lynne.

Lynne dear, I love your tags, they are so very beautiful. Love the wonderful stained, background paper, in those soft pink tones together with the metallics, warming up the whole tag. Your beautiful adds of mop up paper bits and little accents of pearls, and bling. And the words, just giving me peace on mind, when reading them! As I told you on fb, I have my very own treasured Noel-tag displayed all year round.
    Dorthe, xx

What elegantly beautiful tags. Your choice of colors, ribbon, and bits of the mop up paper work so well with the copper fabric that Dorthe has gifted to you. They would look enchanting on packages or even as ornaments hanging from the Christmas tree. I agree,Lynne, it is hard to believe that we should already be involved in making presents and cards. This year has flown by me for sure. Happy creating. Inkybru xx
