Hello Everyone
As it is the first day of the month that means it is time to announce a new challenge theme for The Stamspmith Challenge. This month is a sketch challenge. At TSC we have very few rules as we want stampers to enjoy our challenges but please remember that you must include at least one Stampsmith stamp on your artwork. At the end of the month a random winner is selected with the Prize Draw of $21 of rubber stamps of your choice from The Stampsmith store. For my DT sample I decided to work on a 7″x5″ stretched canvas and choosing to flip the sketch on its side. This beautiful stamp is from the Think of Me plate, the first time I have used this particular set.
To represent the star shaped element in the sketch I used a crochet doily and for the sentiment I layered a sticker stating “always” onto cardstock and attaching to a memo pin.
The mats are represented by the use of lace and K&co paper.Think of me was stamped onto fabric scrap. This stamp is actually from the same set.For the photo corner style element in the sketch I substituted a beautiful piece of lace that was trimmed from a vintage coaster (no guilt as this was leftover from another project!). I gently tinted parts of the stamped image with watercolours, taking the colour choice from the K&co paper. If you wish inspiration then visit TSC Blog to view what my DT sisters have created for this challenge. Also at the challenge blog is the winner of the Random Prize draw for March and the Top 3 entries for the Spring Colours challenge.
Have some fun with this sketch challenge whether you follow the sketch to the letter or use it merely as a springboard. You have the month of May to create and share your entries with us at TSC. Good Luck.
Thank you for taking the time to visit today. Your visits always mean so much to me.
Wishes
Lynne
