Being a crafter it is fun stumbling upon items to use in artwork. When I saw some Christmas tree decorations for sale I knew they would come in handy even though I had no immediate plan to use them. Nearly one year on and as I was inking up a stamp from The Stampsmith’s Flappers #3 that day had arrived where at last the ornament would be of use.
The dramatic paper suited the elegance of this stamp just adding touches of sheet music. The image was layered onto a large shipping tag which I’d covered with sheet music. As for the ornament, it was painted with Antique Brown acrylic paint before it was coated with bronze and gold speciality paint. The Stampsmith new look store makes it so much easier to not only place an order but also to source stamps. Estelle has also added some new stamp plates.

This is so beautiful, Lynne. I love the bit of lace across the tag and your instrument is a wonderful touch. Isn’t it great when you have just the right piece and then can actually remember *where* it is after all that time?

Wonderful way to embellish the image – I love the black and white flourish paper combined with the music; truly gorgeous! And always fun to see a reason to keep hoarding, or I should say collecting 🙂
